In the heat of the Athenian Acropolis, Daniel Gago made his Erasmus+ stay while doing his academic studies, when through a friendship, he met another type of exchange. Precisely the one we offer with Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs. Motivated by his desire to enrich his curriculum and network of contacts, he set himself the objective of chaining another type of mobility oriented to the business experience once his training was finished.
For Daniel, this opportunity was a decisive step in his training beyond university. As he himself stressed, this program offered him the possibility of working in international professional environments, “which is very complicated without programs like this”, he added. In search of a place where to settle a useful formative substrate, he chose a destination that offered him opportunities in his professional area and of interest, fashion. And Berlin was the destination that best accommodated this need.
Arriving at one of Europe's many hearts, he met Natascha, his host. This fashion professional is the founder of the fashion house Natascha Von Hirschhausen. Its philosophy is articulated around sustainability and a local and socially and environmentally responsible production. Under the umbrella of that broad and deeply rooted responsibility in company culture, she welcomed Daniel to share her ideas and vision around fashion and how it can be communicated.
“A huge leap in my professional career”
After four months of stay, Daniel participated in the growth of this business that reflects the values that are revolutionizing the fashion industry, with responsibility and sensitivity towards people and their environment. He created and managed content for the company's social networks, designed and sent the press releases, press releases, as well as newsletters, but he also had time to participate in the logistics of the products. However, one of the challenges that most captivated Daniel was the realization of photographic sessions, where he not only took the images, but also carried out the artistic direction of them.
The satisfaction of Daniel and Natascha was vividly expressed in the thanks that both were dedicated at the end of the stay. For Daniel, this exchange that took him from Madrid to Berlin was “a huge leap in my professional career”, which, he says, “has prepared me for everything”. Natascha, for her part, acknowledged the great support that Daniel provided in the growth of her company and herself, being "impatient for the next EYE exchange".
