Experience, contacts and more. Eloise and Jurgita's Journey in Lithuania

Your friend's cousin, your father's godson, your niece's friend. You never know where the opportunities that will change your life come from. And with Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs something similar happens. For Eloísa Pérez (Spain), it all started with hearing, when one of her friends told her about the program while preparing her own stay. Suddenly, the road opened and he began an itinerary that would lead him to new opportunities.

As a budding professional photographer creating her own business, the only question that had to be asked was: “Where am I going?”. After a brief period in which he discussed his options, he met Jurgita Kunigiškytė (Lithuania). Owner of her own studio, Juju Photography, both married perfectly and for two months shared experience, interests and knowledge that would alleviate the heavy doubts and concerns that Eloísa dragged when opening his business.

“We decided to make the stay because we saw an opportunity for mutual growth”, says Jurgita, stopping to list everything they managed to do during those two months. They outlined Eloísa's business plan, refined his business proposal, built a history and a brand that reflected his values and, above all, built a professional and personal relationship that now transcends the distance that separates them and brings them closer than ever to new international collaborations.

When we asked Eloise what brought this experience back to her, she was clear: experience and contacts. Probably the two pillars on which any solid and forward-looking business is based. Experience to start navigating and contacts to gain momentum along the way. In addition, Eloísa adds that this adventure provided her with ‘confidence’, and nuanced the value of her exchange. The latter is perhaps the most volatile and elemental piece of all, a constant that will help you set a right course and reach a good port.

With his suitcase full of stories, people and an enriching entrepreneurial experience, Eloísa returned to Spain to raise the walls of his own studio and tell stories with images that, most likely, project something of what he lived together with Jurgita.
