Conditions for participation
Want to undertake
You must be an enterprising person who is seriously thinking about starting a business. Or you have already launched your business in the last three years and not exceed those three years of experience. There is no age limit.
Having an Entrepreneurship Idea
When you sign up, you will need to have a specific project or business idea, included in a business plan that you can implement or continue to develop.
Support your host
Once you start your stay, you will have to be able to contribute to the development of the business of the company you choose and welcome you.
Demonstrate commitment
Demonstrate your motivation and commitment to start a business relationship with an experienced company from another European Union country or countries associated with the program.
Residing in the European Union
It is essential that you reside regularly in one of the countries of the European Union. In fact, if you are from the Canary Islands, keep in mind that you will be able to opt for the highest amount of monthly financing so that you can make your stay comfortably.
Additional costs
You must be able to cover the costs of your stay abroad that exceed the European Union subsidy you receive. We recommend that you take this into account when choosing the duration of your stay.
Are you asking questions? Here you have answers
What should I include in my business plan?
The document follows a standardized pattern, like any other business plan. In particular, you must include the description of the product or service, the cyclical analysis, a financial plan, the SWOT. We encourage you to include values and express your social and environmental commitment through a corporate social responsibility strategy.
How long do the stays last?
It all depends on fate. Exchanges to European countries last from 1 to 6 months. Beyond EYE exchanges will last from 1 to 3 months.
Can I change the length of my stay once it starts?
Yes, it is possible to advance the completion of your stay once it has begun. However, we encourage you to consider how far you will want to go with your project to best adjust the length of stay from the beginning.
How do I choose my host company?
The most common is that, once you complete your registration, you access the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme database. There you will know which companies are welcoming new entrepreneurs. You can choose the one you are interested in and contact her to see if it is possible to ‘match’.
In what language are the stays made?
The bridge language will always be English. However, you can communicate in the local language if you already know it or want to learn it. In fact, it's the best way to get to know the local culture!
Is there a deadline to apply for a stay?
No, there is no deadline to apply for your stay. You can apply to the program at any time, however, you must remember that at the time of making the application you may not have completed more than 3 years of experience as a self-employed person or businesswoman.
What is the amount of financial aid I can receive?
It all depends on fate. However, if you are from the Canary Islands, as this is an outermost region of the European Union, you will receive the maximum amount for any European country, €1,200 per month. For Beyond EYE destinations, the amount will be from €1,050 to €1,200 per month and function of the destination.
We make it easy for you
Step 1
Prepare your CV in English
We recommend that you use the format Europass. Fill it in with as much information as possible to make the perfect match. Keep in mind that this information will be your welcome letter both for our team and for foreign companies that can welcome you or that you want them to do so.
Step 2
Shape your business plan
If you want to undertake, you may have the business idea. Now you must translate it in the most detailed way possible in your business plan. It describes the product, performs the cyclical analysis, provides a financial plan, prepares the SWOT, taking into account sustainability and digitalization. You can apply for support at the Chambers of Commerce.
Step 3
Send us everything
Send us the above documentation to eye@itccanarias.org and we will start processing your application. We'll help you take the next steps or perfect your application.
Step 4
Review and formalization
We will review your application and, if it is correct, you must fill out the application in the official form of the European program. In this step, we will tell you, you must select the Technological Institute of the Canary Islands (ITC) as your IO or Intermediate Office, so that we can manage your stay.
Step 5
We're getting going!
Once you have successfully registered, you will be able to explore ‘hosts’ profiles and vice versa. Explore, consult and identify a profile that is of interest to you. When everything is ready, we can arrange a first contact. If all goes well, it will only be left to formalize the agreement and create a consensual work plan.
