It's undeniable. Leading a business is an exercise in constant competitive intelligence. Knowing the technological trends that transform the operation of companies and the experience of customers is only one of the facets that shape a wide range of aspects that will determine the ability of an organization to last over time. Fadel Hamdi, a young man who travelled from the Canary Islands and discovered in Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs the mechanism with which to profile Estrat, a start-up that seeks to promote smarter decision-making with the help of technology, understands this a lot.
With his letters on the table, Fadel selected the Italian company Portofino Coast, a business led by Alessandro Sauda that has more than twenty years of experience in the tourism sector, where he works promoting innovation and sustainability. Between them they devised a work plan with which to strengthen the technological base with which the business operates, integrating new tools, such as AI, to streamline processes and improve relationships with customers.
The routine throughout the three months of Fadel's stay led to the formation of dynamic and cooperative work methodologies where teamwork was facilitated through brainstorming, as well as the observation and joint analysis of the operation of the business to optimize its values and promote, even more, the sustainability of its activities. For Fadel, the experience gave him an orderly and clear vision on how to manage a business beyond the business plan, living its vicissitudes and overcoming the challenges that arise on a day-to-day basis.
The relationship between Estrat and Portofino Coast materialized at the end of the relationship in a substantial and practical knowledge about business operations, but also in areas less known to Fadel, such as international scalability or customer relations in the tourism sector. In return, Alessandro and his company welcomed with open arms Fadel's valuable contributions to make decision-making smarter and customer relationships more efficient thanks to technological developments such as AI. "An incredible opportunity to work with and learn from experienced businesses," says Fadel as he relives his months on the Mediterranean coast.
