Alejandro Farfán learned about Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs through family and friends. Like many other circumstances, one thing led to another and, after applying to the program, he was selected to make his stay in Dublin, Ireland. Here we take action to cross the paths of Alexander and Elio Laureano, its host. For three months he became part of IEA Ireland, an organisation dedicated to facilitating traineeships in international settings under the Erasmus+ training exchange programme.
At only 18 years old, Alejandro embarked on this adventure with which “to obtain valuable knowledge and experience to create a successful company, [...] in addition to learning English”, he added. Thus, once he arrived in Ireland he was received by Elio as CEO of AIE and they got down to work. While Elio taught him how the bowels of his company worked, Alejandro participated in the creation of a digital community that activated with marketing campaigns and the definition of a digital strategy that was very useful for AIE.
Sharing, creating, learning
Those three months in the company were a kind of ladder in which Alejandro was able to grow as he progressed throughout the organization, executing his activities, but also collaborating in the day to day and the challenges associated with operating an organization. At first, they began with a promotional campaign that led to the creation of an online sales platform, something with the Alejando could enter market studies, a strategic component of any business plan.
During the last month, Alexander sought to leave his personal seal as a zeta generation. He activated Instagram and TikTok to expand the reach network of AIE, adding it to trends and uploading it to the cart of organizations that take advantage of the opportunities that younger people can share, opening their eyes to new scenarios from which to explore the market and its changes.
The results were very positive, showing that EYE not only facilitates exchanges of people, but of experiences and knowledge. For Elio, this was the instrument with which not only to generate a new professional relationship, but to strengthen his company: “I had the opportunity to share my knowledge and skills with Alejandro and, in return, I was able to learn a lot from him”. Alejandro recalls those three months with great enthusiasm: “I was able to learn from other entrepreneurs. But not only was I able to develop my skills, but I also made valuable contacts that will be of great help to me in my professional future.”
